This was an after market installation- The whole finished guitar was sent to me, and the inlay performed on the completed guitar. Inlays can be done like this on bridges, truss rod covers, and a number of other areas on most finished instruments. Contact me to inquire about this type of inlay. I also made a matching necklace pendant out of green sea snail, gold, ebony dust and paua shell to go along with it. The Celtic knot on the heel cap is raised 3-D, overlaid, not inlaid. It gives it a neat texture, and is something different from typical inlay.
